What a game! The Philadelphia Eagles’ airtight defense and precisely orchestrated, speedy offense gave them a 24-0 advantage against the Kansas City Chiefs in the first half of last night’s 2025 Super Bowl!

If only the TV commercials come anywhere close to that level of excitement. Unfortunately, the vast majority of this year’s ads at this most watched prime time game were boring, unimaginative, and dominated by celebrities.  Some were trying too hard to be entertaining, some were not in good taste.

The 10 Plus Brand criteria for rating the best Super Bowl TV commercials remains the same, for the sixth year: No celebrities, no politics, no religion, no violence, no vulgarity.

Among the few that satisfy this  criteria, here are the top three best TV commercials of the 2025 Super Bowl:

Number Three: ChatGPT’s commercial.  This $14 million ad, using a dot as the theme to trace humanity’s technology advancement in 60 seconds, was original, creative, and coherent.

Number Two: NFL “I’m Somebody”. This is an uplifting message for all, empowered by the authenticity of children and youth from diverse backgrounds.

Number One: “Take Me Home Rocket”. The ad gave me goosebumps because it genuinely touches on the most fundamental aspects of life, family, and the cultural building blocks for living in America. It visualizes the vibrancy, diversity, and dynamics of home life and community, along the theme of John Denver’s classic, “Take Me Home, Country Roads”.

Perhaps the most creative part was the end, when the song was sung by what seemed to be the audience in the stadium, wearing green and red, bringing home the story of “home” to then and there, millions of people all watching the big game from home. Truly heartwarming and clever. Bravo!

Again, it proves our point: The ordinary people are more powerful than any celebrities.
