At 66, actor Jamie Lee Curtis said: “I am more alive today than I was when I was 37, or 47, or 57.” Although I’m not 66 yet, I, too, feel the same. Aging is a blessing. Every minute counts while I am healthy, curious, and passionate about what I do. The only problem is that my bucklist keeps growing.
Having been there, done that – changing baby’s diapers, dealing with teenage rebellion – NOW I am finally pursuing my own dreams. What freedom! Dance as if no one is watching, spill my guts here even if no one is listening. Aging is a blessing.
I can reinvent myself again and again, with wisdom learned from the school of hard knocks, after trying so hard through college and law school and different careers.
I’ve been privileged to help some executives who have left the corporate world to start their own businesses. They share my view that the best time is the next 20 years. Stay healthy, stay curious, stay active – boomers will be late bloomers.
