 brand is the soul, character, and personality of a business. A brand can be associated with belief, culture, lifestyle, even faith and hope.

I recently met a gentleman at an event. He first lamented the fact that he is one of the 99% of the working middle class, always juggling the daily chores of raising kids, pleasing bosses, paying bills, and advancing careers while not enjoying their work with any passion. He then said to me: “But I think I am rich, even though I am not wealthy:  I have my family, great friends.  I coached my daughter’s softball team years ago, when she was only eight.  The other day I was walking down the street, and a grown young woman happily called my name: ‘Mac!  Mac!  It is me!  You were my coach many years ago!’  Seeing this fully grown lady twice the height of that little girl I coached before, I felt, man, my life is RICH!”

A richly lived life is not necessarily based on monetary wealth.

Wealth can ENRICH your life experiences, but it can also be a burden, a curse, a liability.
What values cannot be measured by money?

I recently saw this post on Facebook:  “Things money can’t buy:” 1. Manners   2. Morals 3. Respect 4. Characters 5. Common sense 6. Trust 7. Patience 8. Class 9. Integrity 10. Love “(”

I am sharing the above with you, in my business’ first e-newsletter. You may ask, what has this got to do with branding? Video making? Brand-marketing?

A brand is the substance, the soul, the character, the personality of a business. A brand behind a product, a service, or a business, is not a means for a SELLER merely to get customers to buy.  A brand is not just for money, for wealth, but for ENRICHING another’s life, materialistically, emotionally, psychologically, and even spiritually. Yes, a brand can be associated with a belief, a culture, a life style, even faith and hope.

Whether a business brand, or a personal brand, a brand is based on core values.  What are the principles you stand by, that you won’t compromise for a million dollars? What are the visions, beliefs, and values your brand symbolizes?
