==============================================================
Not every love ends up in marriage.
No marriage can be all one’s love.
A lifelong obligation,
A flat line of monotony,
Cannot be measured by
A sharp spike of epiphany.
Matched in Heaven, or forged on Earth,
Short and fleeting, memories of a couple of days;
Long and assuring, devotion in earthly ways.
Which is truer than the other?
No way to compare one with the other.
To live in the moment:
The long and dull,
The short and ephemeral,
The constant,
The flawed,
The free,
The unpredictable,
The routine,
The spiritual,
The conflicted,
The one-dimensional,
The real,
The unreal,
The plain and daily,
The beauty,
The bad,
The ugly,
The good,
The unexpected…
Love is a gift
For the undogmatic.
Love is a prison
For the willingly chained.
Love is a poison
For just the taste of it.
Love is constricting.
Love is free-flowing.
Love is a dream
Until reality sets in.
Some love can never be expressed.
Some must be reassured.
Some love cannot be acted on.
Some acts of love are selfless and random.
Some love is best in silence.
Some love is alive in absence.
Love is wordless.
Love is ageless.
Love is genderless.
Love is worldliness.
Love is otherworldliness.
Love in all its:
Facets,
Dimensions,
Mysteries,
Contradictions.
Love uplifts.
Love destroys.
One has not truly lived
Until truly loved
And been loved,
However long,
However brief.
Love
is more precious than life.
