Wild flowers blossom in the wilderness,
never been seen, never been admired.
They blossom not for anyone’s eyes,
not for affirmation, adoration, appreciation.
They are what they are.
They soak up the dew, they absorb the light,
they grow and die as part of the universe,
they exist for themselves, they live as part of the mystery of life.
For all those who think their intrinsic worth must be mirrored from
validations of their parents,
acknowledgement of their peers,
acceptance of the mainstream,
association with championship and pedigrees,
and other external recognitions, cultural norms, social status,
Who are you when those are gone?
