Stand for something: To stay in the loop, subscribe to our Newsletter
Last Tuesday I turned on the TV, and could not click away from the Congressional hearing on the January 6th Capitol Insurrection.
I wept while hearing the personal pain and trauma of the heroic police officers who endured beatings, chemical gas, verbal abuse, out-numbered 50:1, to hold the last line to defend our democracy with their lives. Those police stand for something.
Their characters contrasted the complete lack thereof by the instigator of the Insurrection from the top.
